The Government must ensure all unsafe cladding comes off buildings as soon as possible

On the BBC's Politics London, Caroline Pidgeon highlighted the plight of residents of buildings which still have unsafe flammable cladding, over two years after the tragedy at Grenfell Tower.

"It's an absolute tragedy for so many individuals who are living in a property - it might even be their first step on the housing ladder - to be in a flat and find it's got cladding.

They're worrying at night about whether it's safe to sleep in their own home.

We need money from the government to make sure everyone can live in their home safely. Let's make sure everyone's safe and learn the lessons not just from Grenfell, but from Lakanal House in Southwark. We need to learn from this."
