Court ruling is the final nail in the coffin for Heathrow expansion

As the Court of Appeal ruled that the plan for a third runway at Heathrow is unlawful and breaches the Government's obligations to fight climate change, Caroline Pidgeon said:

"I'm very pleased indeed with the ruling today on Heathrow expansion. The environmental impacts of a third runway would be huge and damaging for London. This is the final nail in the coffin for Heathrow expansion."
